Is Moonfade Pro a subscription or a one-time purchase?
Moonfade Pro is an optional one-time Google Play purchase. Understand the unlock, the purchasing account, and restoration without confusing Pro with a subscription.
Moonfade Pro is an optional one-time purchase through Google Play, not a subscription. You can use the free version with ads, or choose Pro for its specific unlocks. Think of the purchase question separately from your timer settings: Google Play records the purchase, while Moonfade stores your local preferences on the device.
What the one-time purchase unlocks
The Moonfade product guide lists the Pro features: an ad-free experience, five editable presets, a home-screen timer widget, four additional night themes, and Gentle Start and Late Drop fade curves. These are the benefits to compare with what you actually want from the app.
The purchase is optional. If you mainly need to choose a duration and test a timed media ending, you can begin with the basic timer workflow. If one of the listed Pro features solves a specific inconvenience, consider that feature as the reason to choose the unlock.
The names of the additional fade curves identify available choices. They do not, by themselves, establish a mathematical volume pattern or exact timing behavior. Try your chosen ending with the media app you use rather than making assumptions from a curve name.
Keep the purchase account separate from a Moonfade account
Moonfade does not require a Moonfade customer account. Google Play handles the purchase, and the Google Play account that made it matters for restoration. Those are different ideas: no Moonfade sign-in requirement does not mean a purchase can be restored without the relevant store account.
The privacy policy's purchase section explains that Google Play processes payment details and Moonfade receives purchase information used to provide or restore Pro. It also distinguishes that information from timer and customization settings held locally.
Keep track of which Google Play account you use before purchasing. That is a practical preparation for a reinstall or a new device. You do not need to invent a separate Moonfade password to preserve the purchase record.
Understand what Pro does not promise
Pro is a feature unlock; it is not evidence that every media app will pause at the ending. Moonfade reduces media volume and requests audio focus, and playback behavior remains dependent on the Android device and player. Additional customization does not remove that limitation.
A purchase also does not turn local presets, themes, and fade settings into cloud-synchronized preferences. Android backup and device transfer are disabled for Moonfade. If you reinstall or change phones, treat restoration of an eligible Pro purchase and recreation of local settings as separate tasks.
Avoid attaching unverified future-service or permanent-availability promises to the phrase one-time purchase. Use the current product description and the actual Google Play purchase information when deciding.
Restore an existing purchase before considering another one
If you believe you already bought Pro but the unlock is unavailable, follow the official Pro restoration instructions. Use Google Play with the account that made the purchase, open Moonfade's Pro screen, and choose Restore purchase.
If Pro remains unavailable, contact support with the Google Play order ID. Do not send card details, bank information, passwords, or authentication codes. A precise account-and-restoration description is more useful than assuming the purchase has disappeared because local settings changed.
Is a one-time purchase the same as a monthly plan?
No. Moonfade describes Pro as a one-time Google Play purchase. A recurring subscription is not the supported billing description for this unlock.
Should I buy Pro before testing playback?
Start by checking the basic timer ending with your actual media app. That tests device and player behavior; then decide whether a listed Pro feature is useful to you.
Will restoring Pro bring back my previous settings?
Do not rely on that. Local customization and the Google Play purchase record are stored differently. Recreate settings separately when needed.
Get Moonfade on Google Play, test the basic timer, and choose Pro only when one of its documented unlocks fits how you use it.
