How do I restore a Moonfade Pro purchase?
Use the purchasing Google Play account and Restore purchase on Moonfade’s Pro screen. If the unlock stays unavailable, send support the order ID and safe context.
To restore Moonfade Pro, use Google Play with the account that made the purchase, open the Moonfade Pro screen, and choose Restore purchase. If Pro remains unavailable, contact Moonfade support with your Google Play order ID. Treat that process as restoring an eligible store purchase, separately from recreating settings lost through a reinstall or data reset.
Establish which account made the purchase
Moonfade Pro is an optional one-time Google Play purchase, rather than a Moonfade customer-account subscription. The product guide describes the unlock and its features. Google Play handles the purchase, so the account used there matters when you try to restore it.
If you use more than one Google account, identify the one that actually made the Pro purchase before starting the restoration flow. Do not assume that the account currently selected on the phone is the purchasing account. Follow the Google Play interface for your device without relying on an unverified universal menu path.
Keep the Google Play order ID available if you need assistance. An order ID gives support a relevant reference for the purchase issue; it is not a reason to send your payment-card details or account password.
Follow the supported restoration sequence
The official Moonfade support instructions give this sequence:
- Use Google Play with the account that made the purchase.
- Open Moonfade.
- Open the Moonfade Pro screen.
- Choose Restore purchase.
- Check whether Pro is available afterward.
Use the named restoration action instead of assuming that another purchase is the necessary first step. Do not infer additional account-linking, license-code, or migration controls from the fact that restoration exists. Moonfade does not require a separate Moonfade sign-in.
If you reinstall the app, complete the same supported account-and-restoration check in the new installation. Avoid using the presence or absence of old presets as your test of purchase restoration: those presets are local preferences, not the Google Play purchase record.
Know what this process can and cannot establish
The Moonfade privacy policy distinguishes purchase information from local timer settings. Clearing data or uninstalling does not remove a purchase recorded by Google Play, and an eligible purchase can be restored with the account that made it. That describes the supported route; it does not promise that any purchase issue will resolve without investigation.
Android backup and device transfer are disabled for Moonfade. Restoration should therefore not be described as bringing back your previous durations, edited presets, theme, or fade choices. Configure those separately if the installation is new or its data has been cleared.
See where local settings are stored to plan that configuration separately.
Also separate a restored unlock from media compatibility. Pro makes its documented features available; it does not establish that your current media player will pause when a timer ends. Test the timer on the device and player you intend to use.
Send a useful support request if Pro stays unavailable
Explain that you used the purchasing Google Play account and selected Restore purchase. Include the Google Play order ID, Android version, phone model, and a brief description of what happened. If the problem appeared after reinstalling or moving phones, mention that context.
Before reporting, use the failed-restoration guide to distinguish a Play-account check, no purchase found, unavailable billing and an unsuccessful purchase check. Do not start another purchase just to diagnose restoration.
Keep the report focused on observations. For example, describe which Pro feature still appears unavailable after restoration. Do not send card or bank information, passwords, or authentication details. The official support page explicitly asks you to exclude those sensitive details.
Does restoring Pro restore my old presets?
No local-setting restoration is promised. The purchase record and the app's locally stored preferences are separate, so recreate the preferences you need.
Can I use a different Google Play account?
Follow the documented route with the account that made the purchase. Do not assume another account carries the same purchase entitlement.
Does Moonfade need an account password?
No Moonfade account is required. Never send a Google account password or authentication code in a support request.
Get Moonfade on Google Play, then use the Pro screen's Restore purchase action with the purchasing account before rebuilding your preferred timer setup.
